Racing Green TVR has had the 2 types of front brake discs remanufactured. These discs fit all TVRs from 2001 onwards and offer a significant saving over the standard AP brake discs. We have remanufactured both the 304 and 322mm diameter discs which fit all the Sagaris, T350, Tamora range as well as most of the Cerbera/Tuscan models . These discs are fully drilled to degas the pads during heavy use. We have been testing these discs for some time, including track days and found them to be indistinguishable from the AP discs in operation.
The standard one piece ventilated AP discs are fairly expensive and have a notable design/supply flaw. The AP discs have a curved vane arrangement to provide the cooling airflow through the disc but for unknown reasons TVR only ever purchased either a left hand or right hand variant rather than a matched pair as would normally be the case. In practise this means one front disc functions perfectly but the opposite side has the cooling vanes reversed effectively preventing the cooling airflow from flowing correctly through the disc. Racing Green TVR has remanufactured both the 304mm and 322mm brake discs with straight internal vanes allowing them to work perfectly on both the left and righthand sides of the front axle with identical cooling criteria and to prevent this imbalance issue arrising.
These 2 sizes of ventilated disc are a direct replacement for the 1 piece 304 abd 322mm AP front brake discs as well as the earlier obsolete AP 2 piece 322 mm brake discs which have not been available for some time and were incredibly expensive when they were available.
