Racing Green TVR has just taken delivery of its latest generation of forged pistons for the TVR Speed 6 engine. These pistons are forged from extremely high grade 2618 alloy and heat treated to make them exceptionally strong. Machined to very high tolerances they offer significant weight savings over the standard pistons. The gudgeon pin length has been reduced and the skirts have been coated in the Dows D10 Molycote friction ultra low friction polymer to reduce bore wear and enhance piston life. These pistons are available for the 3.6 litre and 4.0 litre engines in 96mm and 96.5mm oversize with high performance piston rings and should be considered for any major TVR Speed 6 engine rebuild.
