Mirror repairs for TVR Griffiths and Chimaera

TVR Chimaeras and Griffiths door mirrors suffer from a design flaw which means that the mounting structure of the mirror gradually develops a stress crack which invariably will lead to the mirror coming off the mounting pedestal. The mounting structure of this type of door mirror is die cast aluminium and hence cannot be welded.
Racing Green TVR has developed a repair kit and procedure for repairing these mirrors which are now obsolete and cannot be sourced new. However this is a process that really can only be done in house so the complete broken mirror needs to be sent to Racing Green TVR for a repair to be effected. Whilst the mirror is with Racing Green we can repaint it and fit new glass if this is required but fundamentally we can carry out a guaranteed repair to mirrors, part numbers TVR M0101 and TVR M0102 where the mounting has failed in this manner. Please ensure that all parts are retained as the more parts we have to supply the more the repair costs!
If the mirror has been smashed to pieces in an impact the repair may be some what harder!
