Racing Green TVR can now get new T5 gearboxes to suit all recent TVRs. This T5 box is now available from Racing Green in 2 formats, the standard TVR gearbox as fitted to all production TVRs from approximately 1994-95 and a high torque variant with larger bearings and uprated input shaft etc. These gearboxes are brand new units and are identical externally to the original TVR T5 in all repects and the high torque version is a direct replacement for the standard gearbox. The high torque gearbox has the same gear ratios as the standard version but has a longer 5th gear allowing for more economical cruising or efficient use of more powerful TVR Speed 6 engines such as the FFF or its supercharged variant. These gearboxes are available off the shelf but new close ratio T5 gearboxes would need to be converted. This can be carried out by Racing Green TVR but to special order.
