Racing Green TVR have now sourced the track rod for many of the TVR steering racks. This part has not been available separately from TVR and is one of the parts that we are seeing on MOT failures on the earlier cars. The track rod is the arm at each end of the steering rack and should not be confused with the track rod end. The track rod wears on the ball joint and causes a degree of wear which is apparent at the end of the steering rack. This wear can be apparent as vagueness in the steering or as a clonk when changing direction. When replacing the track rod you will almost certainly need a steering rack gaiter kit and the steering geometry will need to be reset. Follow link below to order the part
